Understanding the full process of how dust collection systems in a mining or quarry application work can be overwhelming. There are various touch points across the process that help make the whole system complete. Look over our diagram below to see where each solution fits in.

In this example, there are two material handling valves and a dust collector being used. The dirty air is first pumped into a dust collector, like a GPC or S Collector, to increase collection efficiency and reduce maintenance on the baghouse. The collected particulate goes through a Double Dump Valve, which handles bulky material better than rotary valves, and then down the conveyor belt for collection.

The clean air stream flows into the baghouse simultaneously. Next, within the baghouse, the filtered air is pushed out by a fan, and the Vacu-Valve acts as an airlock for any remaining fine free flowing dust particles. The remaining collected dust then travels on the conveyor belt to the storage tank where discharge is controlled by a knife gate valve for manual and pneumatic control.
