The Vacu-Valve®
Platypus and Armadillo, continue to be
some of the lowest-cost, lowest-maintenance
dust collector valves available.
These trickle valves operate as
a constant discharge valve
for industrial dust collectors, hoppers,
cyclones and other dust collection equipment
operating under negative pressure.
Its unique duckbill design
allows it to dispense free-flowing
material continuously. The
Platypus and Armadillo are
available at a fraction of
the cost of the rotary valves they typically replace.
The low maintenance trickle valve requires
no lubrication, requires
no power source, and
has no controls. It is ideal
for "keep empty" dust
collection units and is available
in carbon steel or stainless
steel versions. The replaceable
duckbill valve sleeves are
available in neoprene, white
nitrile or high-temp making the
unit suitable for general use,
high temperature or abrasive
material applications.
